CWC 1980 Royal Navy Divers - Jason Statham - Meg 2: The Trench
Jason Statham wears a CWC 1980 Royal Navy Divers Automatic Reissue watch in Meg 2: The Trench (2023).
The watch is a limited edition reissue of the CWC 1980 RN Divers Automatic originally issued to Royal Navy Clearance Divers. The watch superseded the Rolex MilSub on the wrists of Royal Navy divers, and the first version, with an automatic mechanical movement, is far rarer than the Rolex it replaced.
The watch is water-resistant to 30 atmospheres (300m), has sword hands with second hand specific to the 1980 edition, a 1980 CWC vintage logo, one-way luminous insert time elapse bezel,
Exact case and case back in polished stainless steel as per the original with screw-down crown and screw-down case back.
Powered by an ETA 2824-2 Swiss automatic mechanical movement, CWC engraved.
The watch has Super Luminova markings (Light Vintage) with T marking for historical correctness.
Jason Statham wears the watch on the 20mm CWC issue military grey strap that comes standard with this model.
The Limited Edition watch is available for a little over £2,000 (approx $2500) on the CWC website.
A CWC watch also appears on the wrist of Bugsy Malone in the movie Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in which Jason Statham also stars.
In the first Meg movie, Jason Statham wore an IWC watch.
