The bracelet appears to be unsized, so the watch doesn't fit perfectly. In addition, perhaps as a result McConaughey is alleged to have found the watch cumbersome during filming, and the watch face is often shown drooping on the inside of the wrist.

Sahara is a 2005 action-adventure film directed by Breck Eisner based on the best-selling 1992 novel of the same name by Clive Cussler and starring Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt, Steve Zahn and Penélope Cruz.

The Doxa Sub 300 with its orange face is true to the Clive Cussler Sahara source novel, and is mentioned in several other Cussler novels about fictional character Dirk Pitt.
